The Chartering department has been a fundamental new activity in Egytrans, member of BIMCO (Baltic & International Maritime Council) since 1997. Egytrans’ chartering department has the experience in matching cargo needs and commodities to be accommodated by different size ships whether bulk, general cargo, project cargo, etc.

Egytrans owns and operates an extensive fleet of trucks, trailers and other means of land transportation that enable it to meet the increasing demand of local and international land transportation. Egytrans’ fleet runs between Egypt and all Arab countries including Libya, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Lebanon and Syria. In addition to the heavy transport equipment of the recently acquired E.T.A.L. , the existing land transportation equipment is being replaced and renovated. Egytrans has undertaken significant projects in this sector for several industries. 

Consolidation 

This activity continues to flourish as a fairly new service since 1993. Consolidation is carried out through the use of rented and owned warehouses throughout Egypt. Egytrans offers weekly consolidation services from Egypt to 263 worldwide destinations with receiving stations in both Cairo and Alexandria. Consolidation offers the advantages of competitive freight rates, competitive insurance premiums, reduced risk of pilferage and reduced packing costs.Egytrans also offers consolidation services into Egypt from various ports of origin worldwide.  

Specialized Transport 

In response to many ambitious development projects in Egypt, Egytrans has prepared itself with the experience and equipment to meet the handling needs of all major projects. 
Egytrans’ transport means range from the normal 12 meter platform trailers to the most sophisticated modular trailers. The company’s logistics experts plan and supervise the entire transport process down to the most intricate of details including the precise adjustments of the physical infrastructure to accommodate any project. 
The recent acquisition of E.T.A.L. (Egyptian Transportation & Logistics)   has enabled Egytrans to offer the most comprehensive transport services for projects of any size. This fully owned subsidiary of Egytrans, has the ability to transport cargo of exceptional weight and dimensions. It is also one of the only companies that could cater to hauling such heavy lift and oversized cargo for power plants, transformer sub-stations, steel and cement mills, water and waste water plants and the petroleum industry. E.T.A.L. has participated in the transport of heavy and oversized cargo for more that 70 projects including a 300 ton and 86.5 meter petrochemical plant fractionator…one of the largest pieces of equipment to be transported over Egyptian roads to date. E.T.A.L. also owns a variety of heavy lift transport equipment unmatched by any other heavy lift mover in Egypt. In addition to a wide range of heavy lift transportation and erection services, E.T.A.L. provides the following essentials for guaranteed reliability and customer satisfaction: 
 

• Route surveys to determine the optimum transportation routes and methods to overcome any existing obstacles.
• Logistical studies and transportation engineering planning and design.
• Determination of the equipment and procedures required to transport cargo from the vessel to the final project delivery site.

Egytrans is connected to the customs authority computer center with terminals at the Alexandria port and Cairo airport offices which enable the client to get any information concerning customs tariffs, duties and taxes on any commodity. It also enables the client to obtain customs declaration numbers, and calculate customs duties and taxes in advance.

One of the aims of Egytrans is to establish a country wide warehousing network. The company currently owns and operates several warehouses (bonded and non-bonded) strategically located at or near many key locations in Egypt including Port Said Canal road, Port Said Free Zone, Alexandria and Cairo. 
Sixty years of experience and continuous process improvement have made the standards of Egytrans warehousing one of the building blocks of the company’s success with full distribution services, container yard operations and domestic storage. This activity includes the storage of cargo at bonded warehouses in Haram and Alexandria port under the supervision of the customs authority. 

Fairs & Exhibitions 

Egytrans' goal is to achieve the highest possible level of efficiency and offer the best possible service to both organizers and exhibitors. As a result, we have established a specialized Exhibition Logistics Department comprised of a team of professionals in transportation, logistics and freight-handling for Trade Fairs and Exhibitions dedicated to making any exhibitor's participation a success at competitive rates. Egytrans will provide door to door pick-up from and to the show site, customs clearance, storage of empties and labor and technical support for setup and dismantling.

Egytrans owns and operates a comprehensive workshop which offers sophisticated packing services to customers. Packing of furniture, personal effects, industrial products, etc. is done with care, professionalism and quality packing materials.

Insurance 

In order to ensure a comprehensive and reliable line of services, Egytrans offers insurance services in association with one of the major insurance companies in Egypt. Due to a large volume of business, these agreements enable Egytrans, as a broker, to offer competitive insurance rates and conditions. Types of insurance services offered include Marine & Transport insurance, Cars, Trucks & Trailer insurance, various Assets insurance and Storage and Fire insurance. 

Distribution 

To complete its line of services, Egytrans has integrated its distribution system with its warehousing capabilities to provide clients with the optimum delivery system their business requires. This is accomplished by Egytrans’ capable crew and fleet of distribution trucks.

Is a specialized logistics service aimed at providing ship owners, shipping agents , and ship builders with a product that substantially reduces costs, in addition to our local capabilities regarding quick customs clearance & high valued bank LG required for transit transportation from airport of arrival to sea port where the spare part is needed.
